1 : 1 Academic Tutors – St Helens (Rainford and surrounding areas)

25-£28 per hour | Flexible hours | Immediate Starts

Are you a caring, patient and motivated educator who wants to help provide children to flourish in education?

We are looking for 1 : 1 tutors in St Helens and the surrounding areas to support young people and children who have disengaged or who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

You will work with a variety of different learners such as, SEND, SEMH, looked after children and children who have an EHCP. You will be able to deliver these lessons in the comfort of their home, community areas / libraries and the school helping them rebuild the confidence, trust and a love of learning.

The Role :

Deliver 1 : 1 sessions for Maths, English or Science

Plan engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs

Support learners with SEND / SEMH needs e.g. anxiety, ASD, ADHD or trauma related barriers

Provide a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Building a positive relationship with the pupil, school and families / carers

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, HLTA’S or learning mentors with strong subject knowledge and a passion for changing children’s lives!

Requirements :

Strong subject knowledge in maths, English and / or Science

1 : 1 / Tutoring experience (minimum 1 year)

QTS / PGCE (Desirable)

Experience with SEND / SEMH learners

Enhanced DBS on the update service (Or willingness to obtain)
