Electrician

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Flintshire to assist with the appointment of a Electrician on a 6.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.62 - 21.75 per hour

Summary:

Flintshire County Council is seeking a time-served fully qualified Electrician to join the technical team. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of electrical work within both tenanted and void domestic properties ensuring all installations are safe and compliant. This role requires a candidate with a broad knowledge base specifically experienced in the social housing sector who can independently manage complex diagnostics and repairs including central heating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of electrical tasks including full rewiring and general repairs in domestic properties.
• Ensure all works meet NICEIC rules and IEE electrical wiring regulations (BS:7671 - 18th Edition).
• Maintain a high standard of work in both occupied (tenanted) and empty (void) properties ensuring they are left in a clean and safe condition.
• Adhere strictly to safe isolation procedures and all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Promptly complete and submit all required technical paperwork such as job sheets and test certificates to support financial monitoring

Qualification

• Time-served and fully qualified Electrician
• City and Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent) and current 18th Edition BS:7671.

Essentials:

• Proven track record of working within social housing or a domestic maintenance environment.
• Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills in domestic settings.
• A full UK driving license is required for travel across the Councils property portfolio.
