A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil and Drainage Engineer to join a growing consultancy in Hull. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys delivering high quality civil, drainage and SuDS design across a wide variety of development sectors, while supporting the technical growth of a busy and collaborative engineering team. With continued expansion planned, this is an excellent time to play a key part in shaping the civil engineering capability of the business.

As a Senior Civil and Drainage Engineer, you will take responsibility for leading the design and delivery of drainage, external works, SuDS, levels and adoptable infrastructure across education, commercial, residential, industrial, food, petrochemical and energy projects. You will produce technical reports, drainage impact assessments, Flood Risk Assessments and adoption packages for S104, S38 and S278 approvals, ensuring that all outputs meet current standards and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, undertake site assessments, liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, and provide guidance to junior team members to maintain high technical standards. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and InfoDrainage is essential, along with the ability to manage workloads, coordinate project resources and deliver design packages within agreed timescales.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' civil and drainage design experience.

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Chartered status preferred.

Strong knowledge of SuDS, drainage design, external works and adoptable standards.

Skilled in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and InfoDrainage.

Confident communicator able to engage with clients and stakeholders.

Strong organisational and project management skills.
