Cemeteries and Crematorium Operatives

We are looking for dedicated and skilled Cemeteries and Crematorium Operatives to join the team maintaining the respectful and peaceful grounds of Margate & Ramsgate Cemeteries and the local Crematorium .

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with grounds maintenance experience who take pride in ensuring outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and dignified.

Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming using power tools & sit-on mowers

Work independently or in a team to maintain high standards

️ Conduct daily equipment checks and maintenance

️ Operate equipment safely and follow Health & Safety protocols

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout cemetery & crematorium grounds

Carry out additional reasonable duties as required

Experience with ride-on mowers (triple, rotary, stand rotary), petrol strimmers & hedge trimmers

Grounds maintenance background essential

Able to work independently and collaboratively

Strong attention to detail and proactive work ethic

Knowledge of health and safety in outdoor maintenance

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Respectful and sensitive approach to work in a solemn setting

Full clean driving licence is essential
