HGV Class 2 Driver – Cumbernauld – PERMANENT

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client’s expanding transport team based in Cumbernauld. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers to secure full-time, permanent work with excellent rates of pay, full training, and genuine long-term progression.

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 starts

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles
• Delivering kitchen and bedroom products to customer homes with a Driver’s Mate
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
• Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
• Following planned routes and delivery schedules
• Communicating professionally with customers and transport teams
• Some handball required

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD codes)
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
• Ability to work as part of a two-person delivery team

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience
• Experience delivering large or bulky goods
• Customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
