Tax and Funding Specialist

Job Title: Tax & Funding Specialist
Location: Seaham
Salary: £40,427 - £41,730
Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a regular client of our who are looking for a Tax & Funding Specialist to join their team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to all of the company stakeholders, taking ownership of tax and banking functions.

What you will be doing:

\n
• Reconciling VAT control accounts on the general ledgers on a monthly basis
\n
• Preparation of VAT returns for all group companies and submitting them after approval from senior members of staff.
\n
• Understand and operate control models used for managing loan facilities
\n
• Liaise with HMRC, internal and external auditors for VAT matters.
\n
• Preparation of Payments, covering payments relating to VAT and interest payments.
\n
• Proactively make recommendations to directors/senior members of staff on process improvements
\n
• Provide information and advice for all aspects of taxation and banking processes
\n

Requirements and Specifications:

\n
• AAT or ATT qualified
\n
• Proven experience of providing VAT management service to a medium to large business.
\n
• Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team
\n
• Previous experience in a housing association is highly desirable
\n
• Experience of working with stakeholders
\n
• Strong communication skills
\n
• High attention to detail
\n
