In this role you will :

  • Operate and be a key member within the Finance Non-Financial Risk (“NFR”) team for HSBC UK and work closely with stakeholders across Finance (both 1LOD and 2LOD teams) and wider NFR teams.
  • Execution of RCAs including responsibility for any associated Configuration and Scoping activities to ensure Operational Risk Compliance.
  • Responsible for tracking and ensuring completion of Continuous Monitoring Plans within HELIOS and assisting Controls Owners with technical queries.
  • Support and advice to Risk, Control, and Issue Owners for any 1LOD related queries, including issues, actions, incident management and data quality management.
  • Support the delivery of the HSBC UK Finance Risk and Control Management Meeting (RCMM), including preparation of the final pack, production of minutes and management of actions.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements :

  • Experience of Finance, Risk or Regulatory Reporting Governance is desirable.
  • Previous Risk and Controls experience is essential.
  • Analytics & MI / reporting experience is essential.
  • Experience of Non-Financial Risk reporting and Sarbanes Oxley testing / compliance procedures is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of collaboration and working efficiently in a high performing team.
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (all levels of seniority and geographies).
  • Ability to manage and organise multiple tasks at the same time.
  • This role is based in Birmingham, Hybrid.
