Assistant Senior Clerk (Family / Children)
£45,000 - £60,000 (depending on skills and experience). We may be able to pay more for a highly experienced candidate.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am – 5 : 30pm (1-hour lunch)
Holidays : 25 per year plus Bank Holidays (rising with length of service)

We are looking for a fully competent and experienced family barristers’ clerk to join our award-winning Family Clerks team in this management-level role, based in Manchester. Reporting to the Group Senior Family Clerk, you will be the lead clerk for children law cases and the go-to clerk for our 6 silks in this practice area. You will line manage and develop a small team of junior clerks in Manchester and work with colleagues across our four sites, to ensure the delivery of a smooth and comprehensive clerking service to all our children law practitioners and their clients.
As well as full knowledge and competence in all aspects of diary management, fee negotiation and case capture, you will be involved in practice and business development planning and activities and able to engage effectively with barristers at all career stages to help them identify and achieve their practice objectives.
