Overview

Workshop Manager role at JBR Accounting Inc. Department : Activate Accident Repair. Hours : 45 hours per week. Location : Leeds, LS12 2EJ.

We are recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join one of our newest sites as we grow the Activate Accident Repair team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement operational workshop loading system in line with company policy / procedures, ensuring all targets and deadlines are met or addressed.
  • Liaise with office logistics staff to monitor the number of vehicles coming into the site for repair.
  • Ensure optimum utilisation of resources within the area of responsibility as set out in targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain awareness and compliance with Health and Safety requirements in the workshop, including responsibility for personal protective equipment worn by staff.
  • Notify potential Health and Safety risks to affected personnel.
  • Monitor and control workshop output and efficiencies.
  • Provide verbal explanations of repair procedures to the workshop team and customers with varying levels of understanding.
  • Utilise workshop equipment appropriately when allocating tasks.
  • Assess vehicle value to determine repairable economics of damaged vehicles.
  • Adhere to material wastage targets.
  • Ensure no customer vehicle or contents are damaged or lost while under repair.

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of the repair industry, vehicle legislation and trade practices.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, including EPA provisions and risk assessment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Leadership and coaching attributes.
  • Knowledge of repair processes and vehicle construction.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
