Paid Caretaking Role for a joint application France (6 Months)

Couple or pair are required Northern Ireland based

A private homeowner is seeking a reliable and experienced couple currently based in Northern Ireland to look after a private home in France for a six-month period.

This is a paid role and would suit a responsible couple who are comfortable living abroad for an extended stay. It is expected that the duties will be split with one person looking after the inside of the house and one person maintaining the grounds.

Key Requirements

• Applicants must have the legal right to live in France for the full six-month period
  (e.g. Irish/EU passport or valid long-stay visa)
• Currently resident in Northern Ireland
• Responsible trustworthy and able to work independently
• One person will need to be able to speak some basic French
• Some gardening experience will be necessary for one person

Duties

• General care and security of the property
• Liaising with local tradespeople where required
• Day-to-day oversight of the house and grounds
• Gardening
• Cleaning the property

• Use of property for the duration of the stay

Healthcare & Insurance

Applicants will be responsible for their own healthcare cover.
Irish/EU passport holders can access French medical care via EHIC and private medical insurance is strongly recommended for the duration of the stay.

Two people applying jointly (e.g. a couple or a pair) are required due to the division of duties.

Duration

• Six months (exact dates to be confirmed)
