Are you an experienced Property Asset Officer looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority?
West Berkshire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Finance and Property Service as a Property Asset Officer.
As a Property Asset Officer, you will play a key role in the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for :
- Undertaking property inspections, surveys, and valuations
- Managing lease agreements and property transactions
- Providing expert advice on property-related matters
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions
To excel in this role, you should have :
Extensive knowledge and experience in property asset managementStrong understanding of relevant legislation and regulationsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsThe ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesA professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essentialThis role is fixed term until 31st December 2025 – Funding limited project
