Overview
Swift strives to operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Compliance team is expanding as part of a major governance and regulatory change programme. This senior role offers an opportunity to shape and embed regulatory approaches that are fit for purpose, robust, and scalable across the organisation, ensuring they are integrated into governance, decision making and business processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to ensure compliance with current and upcoming regulations.
- Lead change initiatives to adapt to regulatory changes, influencing stakeholders and shaping the organisation's approach to regulatory matters.
- Act as a strategic partner to the business to navigate the complexities of the regulatory environment while enabling objective achievement.
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies, understand the impact of new regulations, create compliance roadmaps, and ensure policies are adapted accordingly.
- Lead change management, coordinating the implementation of changes required by new regulations (systems, processes, training and decision making).
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to build understanding and support for compliance efforts.
- Maintain Regulatory Intelligence by staying informed about emerging regulatory trends, potential future changes and industry best practices.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in financial institutions, regulatory oversight, risk management, or similar roles.Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.Proven experience in managing relationships with regulatory bodies and senior stakeholders.Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to compliance challenges.Change management expertise, with experience of leading and implementing organizational change initiatives.High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills; professional English language skills.Additional Information
