Responsibilities
The role involves (but is not limited to) :
Investigating and managing major & complex loss claims, including site visits.Building rapport and understanding operational impacts on claims, ensuring clarity of cover with Insured, Broker, and Insurer.Gathering sufficient information to set accurate reserves, effectively demonstrating them to insurers.Negotiating appropriate solutions within policy terms.Assessing issues and providing pragmatic solutions for complex claims.Preparing detailed reports covering policy analysis, quantum (including business interruption), recovery, and future actions.Instructing and monitoring experts such as lawyers, forensic scientists, surveyors, damage mitigation specialists, and others as needed.Establishing and agreeing on communication plans with all parties involved.Calculating and approving interim payments and preparing interim reports.Agreeing on and documenting comprehensive final settlements with supporting evidence.Maintaining ongoing professional development regarding technical or legal changes affecting major and complex claims.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting any breaches to the Operational Support and Compliance Manager.Skills and Experience (E : essential, D : desirable)
