Elevation Recruitment’s Design & Projects team are partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business in South Yorkshire as they expand their technical team for 2026.

This Applications Engineer role sits at the heart of the product lifecycle, combining hands-on engineering, customer-facing technical support, and design involvement. You’ll work closely with design, manufacturing and commercial teams to deliver practical, real-world engineered solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting customers with product selection, application & integration
• Developing application-specific engineered solutions
• Producing 3D CAD designs, drawings & technical documentation
• Supporting trials, installations & investigations on customer sites
• Acting as the technical link between engineering, sales & customers

What we’re looking for

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in Applications / Product / Technical Engineering
• Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD etc.)
• Confident communicator with a practical, solution-focused mindset

Travel

• UK & international travel is part of the role, flexible and well supported.
