Mechanical Design Engineer

£45,000per year | Full-time, Permanent | Hybrid (3 days wfh)

Join a pioneering technology company developing intelligent robotics and AI-powered vision systems transforming modern agriculture. We're seeking a practical, detail-driven mechanical designer to help evolve next-generation robotic systems.

You'll be :

  • Designing mechanical aspects of robotic and automation systems
  • Creating CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing
  • Working on end-effectors, actuator housings, and control cabinet layouts
  • Following designs from concept through production to real-world deployment
  • Spending time on customer farms to see solutions perform under field conditions

Essential Requirements :

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline
  • 3+ years' experience in mechanical design
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
  • Comfortable working hands-on with machinery and prototypes
  • Willingness to travel for on-site work
