Job Purpose

To supervise the day to day function of the AR department, whilst supporting the delivery of the finance objectives through cash collection and credit management on a timely basis from customers for UK and export markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Credit Control

  • Work with legal and other agencies to collect overdue debts where required
  • Administer and report daily orders held for credit reasons
  • Maximise cash collection from customers within terms through dunning
  • Run weekly Debtors report with commentary for specified accounts
  • Review debtors on a weekly basis with sales ledger team and monthly with manager
  • Manage Letters of Credit accounts
  • Weekly forecast of incoming cash to support working capital needs
  • Manage credit insurance limits and policy

Sales Ledger

  • Own set Customer base and carry out sales ledger responsibilities, dealing with all queries through to resolution
  • Process payments for specified accounts
  • Send out monthly statements for specified accounts
  • Process commercial rebates for specified accounts
  • Any ad-hoc reports / analysis as required
  • Comply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy
  • What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience working with credit insurers
  • Credit Management qualifications (desirable)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a busy and fast paced working environment
