Construction & Civil Engineering Buyer  Exeter Up to £40,000 basic  Civil Engineering & Groundworks Contractor

I'm currently working in partnership with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Exeter , who are looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to support their continued growth across the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded Buyer with a background in construction , civil engineering , or groundworks to join a dynamic, growing business with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role :

The successful candidate will take ownership of all buying functions across multiple live sites. You’ll be responsible for procuring materials, plant, and subcontract services – ensuring cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and supplier quality.

Key responsibilities include :

• Procuring materials, plant, and subcontract packages
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms
• Monitoring delivery schedules and managing stock levels
• Supporting estimating and project teams with procurement advice
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies
