Conservation Architect Job in Central LondonA growing practice in Central London is seeking Conservation Architects to join their team! With several long-term conservation projects underway, this role offers not only the chance to work on remarkable projects but also an excellent work-life balance, clear career progression, and a supportive, employee-focused environment!With an expanding office and a growing portfolio in the high-end London market, they are now seeking Conservation Architects holding RIBA, SCA, CA accreditation or AABC registration. Regularly featured in industry and lifestyle publications, their portfolio spans stunning historical buildings, private homes, commercial properties, and interiors across the UK and internationally.Role & ResponsibilitiesTo work on bespoke, high-end conservation and heritage projects throughout London and the UKProjects are varied and these will include historical buildings, London estates, large country estates, grade-listed buildings, and moreWorking across all RIBA stages with an initial focus on stage 4 through to completionSpeaking with and dealing with clients, including site visits and surveysCarry out project researchLead and manage small project teams on various conservation projectsReport to the Associate Directors on project progressProduce high-quality design and technical drawings, with detailed joinery fittings in a traditional style.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience in bespoke detailing on traditional, high end or classical projectsMinimum of 5 years of professional experienceMust have relevant UK project experiencePart III qualified with a conservation accreditation - RIBA, SCA, CA, or AABC registration Contract administration and technical knowledgePassion for classical and traditional architectureExperience in the preservation and refurbishment of historic buildingsExperience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial but not essential, full training will be provided.What you get backSalary of £40,000 - £55,000 DOE21 days of holiday, plus bank holidays and discretionary leave over ChristmasNo staff are expected to work overtime, but if offered they will pay this at an increased rateEmployee assistance programmeThe practice offers a variety of workplace activities and groups, such as 'Woman in Architecture, Sustainability Working Group, and Historic Buildings Working Group' - just to name a few!Professional memberships paid forProject trips, sketching sessions, social events, and charity fundraisingFlexible working with 3 days per week required in the officeLife insurance.ApplyIf you meet the criteria above, send us your CV and portfolio.
