About The Role
Main Purpose : Support the Assistant and Contracts Manager by managing the Maintenance and RM tasks in the delivery of hard FM services across the eight schools PFI contracts covering multiple sites across the region. Lead and manage the engineering team, own the hard services delivery, and implement enhancements in line with good practice and current business processes. You will be involved in the input on the overall business plan for the Education PFI contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver / improve hard service delivery in a cost-effective format and optimise staff resources
- Oversee subcontract delivery, working with the ACM and CM to support a fix-first-time ethos using company processes
- Provide data and management information to monitor hard services performance
- Ensure compliance through planned audits and inspections; escalate as needed
- Keep all compliance records up to date and accessible at each site; escalate blockers if any
- Manage CAFM system details with team support
- Progress all jobs timely to meet contractual KPIs and support billing to avoid penalties
- Produce up-to-date ad hoc reports on services managed in CAFM
- Maintain buildings and sites across the contract as required
- Take ownership of maintenance delivery and compliance at all sites
- Adhere to FES policies and procedures and escalate blockers as necessary
- Be on call for escalations; approve on-call rota with the Supervisor
- Manage maintenance team and ensure staff are competent and supported
- Plan and deliver training and refresher courses for FES FM
- Assist in allocation of tasks to engineers with Supervisor
- Prioritise own workload and manage subcontractors as required
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years managerial or acting manager experience in building maintenance and / or facilities management
- Previous trade training in M&E and experience essential
- Use time effectively to meet daily / weekly requirements and assist colleagues
- Be proficient with IT tools provided
- Attend training to enhance management and technical skills
- Maintain good knowledge of health & safety (formal training preferred)
- Attend monthly site meetings with client
- Create monthly reports for each site to support ACM and CM
