Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer with a strong background in aero-based gas turbines or related turbine technologies. The Role

As Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on-site activities across installation, maintenance, and repair of aero-based gas turbines. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers on site, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and execute installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of aero-based gas turbines.

Conduct inspections, hot section replacements, engine swaps, and troubleshooting activities.

Provide technical direction to site teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality.

Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues on turbines and auxiliary systems.

Oversee commissioning and performance optimisation of turbine systems.

Manage all in-field activities in line with HSE standards and company procedures.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 4+ years of experience as a mechanical technician or field engineer working with aeroderivative, aircraft, or industrial gas turbines.

Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems, including bolting, flange management, and small-bore piping.

Proven hands-on experience in turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Strong awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.

Ability to lead teams and work independently in fast-paced field environments.

Fluent in English.

Willingness to travel globally up to 70% of the time.

Must hold a valid UK work authorisation or British passport.
