Overview
Digital Designer — Location : Cambridge or Bristol (3 days onsite, 2 remote). Contract Length : 12 months. IR35 Status : Inside IR35. Start Date : ASAP.
A client is looking for a Digital Designer for an initial 12‑month contract. This role will contribute to the development of next-generation AI compute technology, playing a key part in the design and delivery of high-performance silicon.
You will work within the Design team, supporting the creation of high-quality micro-architecture specifications and RTL implementations, collaborating closely with teams across Physical Design, Verification, and DFT.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement RTL based on micro-architecture
- Collaborate across multi-site teams to ensure cohesive delivery and issue resolution
- Contribute to design infrastructure, methodologies, and EDA tool flows
- Perform block and chip-level design checks : Lint, Synthesis, CDC, RDC, Timing Closure, Coverage
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Verification, Physical Design, and DFT
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in digital design with hands-on RTL developmentSolid understanding of SystemVerilog or VHDLFamiliarity with EDA tools and digital design flowsExperience writing scripts (Python, Tcl) for design automation and issue resolutionExcellent communication and collaboration skills across teamsAbility to manage workload effectively in a hybrid working environmentDesirable Skills
