Position : KS1 Primary Teacher

Location : Red Kite School, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, HP27 0JW

Salary : Up to £37,000 per annum depending on experience ( not pro rata )

Contract : Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours : 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am-4pm

Start Date : October 2025

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher (KS1) to join our team and make a lasting difference in the lives of our pupils. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialist environment where pupil voice, wellbeing, and personal development are central to everything we do.

You’ll be joining a school that values collaboration, innovation, and care—a place where safeguarding is embedded in the culture, and pupils are actively involved in their learning journey.

As a Primary Teacher for Key Stage 1, you will :

  • Teach a range of subjects across the KS1 curriculum, adapting content to meet individual needs
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that promote progress and independence
  • Support pupils with a wide variety of additional needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
  • Take the lead on a curriculum area across the school (subject to discussion at interview)
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and leaders to ensure consistent, pupil-centred support

Who We're Looking For

We welcome candidates who are :

  • Qualified with QTS and educated to degree level
  • Experienced or keen to work in SEN / ASC settings (experience desirable but not essential)
  • Innovative, engaging, and creative in their teaching approach
  • Calm, resilient, and able to respond flexibly to challenges
  • Committed to promoting pupil voice, safety, and wellbeing at all times
  • Motivated to empower vulnerable young people to thrive and find their place in the world.

    Red Kite School is a brand-new, purpose-built independent SEN school, designed to support up to 60 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
