💷 Salary : £30,500 – £34,500 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Residential Care Worker to join a three-bedded Ofsted-registered children’s residential home for young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild learning disabilities (LD) .
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes while also developing your leadership skills. With a clear career pathway, there is scope to progress into a Deputy Manager position , subject to performance.
✨ About the Role
As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will :
- Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring safety, consistency, and high-quality care.
- Provide direct support to children, helping them develop independence, resilience, and positive life skills.
- Implement, review, and update individualised care plans.
- Support, mentor, and guide Residential Care Workers to maintain professional practice.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Encourage education, hobbies, and community engagement for young people.
- Contribute to Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards .
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident documentation.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
✅ What We’re Looking For
Experience leading shifts / key-working in a children’s home.Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards).Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed practice.Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.Full UK driving licence (essential).Compassionate, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.Desirable :
Experience supervising or mentoring staff.Strong IT and record-keeping skills.Creativity and emotional intelligence in supporting young people with complex needs.💷 What’s on Offer
