📍 Location : Kegworth, Derby

💷 Salary : £30,500 – £34,500 (depending on experience)

📑 Contract : Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Residential Care Worker to join a three-bedded Ofsted-registered children’s residential home for young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild learning disabilities (LD) .

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes while also developing your leadership skills. With a clear career pathway, there is scope to progress into a Deputy Manager position , subject to performance.

✨ About the Role

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will :

• Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring safety, consistency, and high-quality care.
• Provide direct support to children, helping them develop independence, resilience, and positive life skills.
• Implement, review, and update individualised care plans.
• Support, mentor, and guide Residential Care Workers to maintain professional practice.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Encourage education, hobbies, and community engagement for young people.
• Contribute to Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards .
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident documentation.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
