Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Spacelabs Healthcare is advancing patient monitoring technology to improve clinical outcomes. We’re seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our R&D team, focused on developing automated tests for our next-generation patient monitoring platform.

In this hands-on role, you’ll design and implement test automation for complex, networked medical systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, systems, and verification to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Python, object-oriented design, multithreading, and test automation tools, with a solid understanding of Agile and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test automation for embedded Linux-based patient monitoring systems
• Review requirements and contribute to test architecture and component design
• Write, debug, and document test automation code
• Collaborate with global teams and ensure timely delivery of test solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Software and test automation development
• Proficiency in Python and OOP
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Squish, Selenium), CI/CD, and Agile
• Familiarity with regulated environments and medical device standards (IEC 62304, ISO 14971) is a plus
