Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering business and digital transformation on an integration programme. Operating within a blended team, you will act as a connector across business domains, technical teams, service delivery, and strategic governance. You will use advanced analytical tools, user research, and collaborative discovery to define needs, identify solutions, and guide delivery across multiple interdependent workstreams. You will :
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate discovery workshops to understand organisational needs, pain points, and transformation drivers.
- Conduct persona-driven research and stakeholder interviews to uncover user requirements, business processes, and Legacy system landscapes.
- Produce detailed and prioritised requirements backlogs, ensuring traceability to programme objectives, service outcomes, and TCoP / GDS standards.
- Develop high-quality artefacts including user stories, process maps, business rules, epics, and acceptance criteria using Agile tools (eg Jira, Confluence).
- Act as a trusted liaison between business and programme stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements and constraints.
- Support joint prioritisation sessions, feeding insights into the Programme Roadmap, Risk Registers, and Statements of Work (SoWs).
- Collaborate with Service Designers and Technical Architects to translate user and business needs into actionable, implementable solutions.
- Validate implementation outputs against business needs and user journeys, supporting test planning and UAT as needed.
- Leverage tools such as ServiceNow APM / CMDB to identify Shadow IT and business-owned services requiring transition or rationalisation.
- Ensure all solutions align to TCoP, GDS, GDaD, accessibility, interoperability, and data compliance standards.
- Deep business analysis experience in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of public sector digital delivery, including GDS standards, service patterns, and agile practices.
- Proven ability to run and structure discovery activities and workshops.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and managing competing priorities across departments, suppliers, and delivery workstreams.
- SC cleared or clearable.
Desirable Skills
