Wood Machinist – Flitwick

Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced Wood Machinist to join a dynamic and well-established production team based in Flitwick. This role is ideal for a skilled individual with a strong background in woodworking and machining who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship.

You will be responsible for operating a range of woodworking machinery to produce high-quality wood products in line with technical specifications and production standards.

Location : Flitwick

Salary : Up to £18.00 per hour

Working Hours : Monday to Thursday, 8 : 00 am – 4 : 30 pm

Job Type : Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery, including saws, routers, planers, and sanders
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating machinery
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve production efficiency and quality
