Our client, a leading industrial giant, is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Assistant to support their commitment to compliance, health, safety, and environmental excellence. Position Overview
As the Health and Safety Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the company's compliance, health, safety, and environmental performance. You will be responsible for recording and verifying data, preparing reports, delivering training, conducting audits, and assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and assessments. Your work will directly contribute to the company's sustainability goals and the well-being of employees and the environment.
Responsibilities
Record off-site waste transfers and verify informationRecord operational environmental data and interpret trendsSubmit data for safety and sustainability indicatorsLiaise with and supervise external partiesPrepare internal and external reportsMonitor FSC compliancePrepare presentations and attend HS&E meetingsDeliver training and support internal and external auditsMaintain and develop safety campaignsUpdate Intelex and IMS documentsPartake in accident / incident investigations and risk assessmentsAssist in developing HS&E representativesIdentify ways to improve site HS&E performanceRespond to SHEQ queries and provide adviceAssist with creating / developing / trialling policies, procedures, guidance, and assessmentsAssist the HSE Manager with duties and projects across the companyMaintain confidentiality and provide on-call assistance on a rota basisAssist / contribute to booking and logging employee trainingRequirements
