We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for an IT / Technology Risk & Governance Specialist to join our team in Technology Services. In this role, you will work closely with IT, IS & Cyber SMEs to foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability for technology risk and governance across the Directorate. This is an exciting time to join the team, as the Society embarks on an ambitious growth plan, and a transformation journey that Technology Services will be at the heart of.

This is a hybrid role; remote working and a small amount of onsite presence in our central Leeds (or Bradford) office.

About the role

As a technology risk subject matter expert, youll ultimately be responsible for leading on the transformation of our Technology Services risk and control environment. You will -

• Support and educate SMEs with the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of technology risks (both on prem and Cloud)
• Support the design and implementation of IT and Cyber controls to mitigate identified risks
• Support the continual review of technology services controls to ensure they are appropriate for managing our risks
• Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business
• Develop, implement, and maintain governance and risk management frameworks including policies and procedures
• Provide problem solving / troubleshooting skills to support the Technology Services Director and extended leadership team
• Monitor, report and provide insights on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and compliance issues
• Lead the preparation and delivery of governance and risk reporting for risk forums and committees
• Monitor and report on audit and assurance issues
• Support annual compliance activities, such as PCI-DSS, LINK, BACS
