Start Date : As soon as possible Salary : Grade 8, £31,586 - £34,314 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours : £23,863.97 – £25,925.04 p.a.) Contract : Fixed Term until 31 / 08 / 2026, subject to a review of the school’s budget Hours : 32.5 per week (Monday to Friday), term time only, including INSET days (39 weeks) The closing date for applications : 09 / 10 / 2025 Interviews are scheduled to take place on : 16 / 10 / 2025 The Role : As a HLTA, you will work flexibly across the School, supporting all age groups in close collaboration with the teachers. You will work as part of a team under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of our pupils, including those with special educational needs. You will play a crucial role in supporting teaching staff, promoting independence, confidence, and resilience among our students to help them thrive.The successful candidate will have : A minimum of two years’ experience working with primary aged pupils in an educational context. Have a clear understanding of how to motivate children and help them make progress. Ability to present information both orally and in written form in a concise, coherent way in order to keep records and assess children’s progress Experience of teaching and learning within the primary phase. Other qualifications that support children to thrive and support their emotional and social development e.g. ELSA Willingness to engage in further training. Ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues. Have two fully supportive employment references. Fluency Duty This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
