Associate Director

An ambitious and well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their growing commercial team. This senior position is ideal for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor looking to step into strategic leadership across high-profile projects and wider business operations.

As an Associate Director , you’ll oversee the commercial performance of key commissions, lead project teams, and manage senior and intermediate Quantity Surveyors. This role blends project delivery with operational management – from client liaison and fee structures to internal governance and resource planning.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the Associate Director will contribute to strategic decision-making, support team development, and play a visible role in business growth and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Director :

• Lead Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services across complex projects
• Manage commercial delivery, programme, budgets, and quality assurance
• Oversee resource allocation, fee management, job costing, and team structures
• Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships
• Identify new business and repeat work opportunities
• Mentor junior staff and support team development and performance
• Ensure compliance with internal systems and industry standards
• Represent the business at networking and client-facing events
