Community Support Worker

Home support - Harpenden, St Albans, and surrounding villages

Responsibilities :

Assisting clients within their own homes, accompanying them on trips out, and becoming a trusted companion.

Focus is on :

• Practical Support : assisting with laundry, light housework, tidying, shopping, preparing meals, and paperwork.
• Emotional Support : accompanying clients on trips, having coffee, and engaging in conversations to ease loneliness among elderly residents.
• Hobbies : art, cooking, jigsaws, knitting, sewing, for example.
• Please note : No personal care is required.
• Minimum 1-hour visits.

Shifts :

Usually between 9 am - 6 pm. We are happy to discuss hours and commitments.

You must be willing to work 1 in 4 weekends.

Part-time and full-time roles are available.

0 hours contract - potential for a permanent part-time contract after a probation period.

Pay :

Weekdays - £12.50 per hour

Weekends - £14.50 per hour

Travel time is unpaid; mileage paid at 45p per mile.
