Are you a motivated and energetic PE Teacher ready to inspire a healthy, active lifestyle in young people? A progressive secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is looking for a dedicated Physical Education professional to join their team in September 2025. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sport, fitness, and personal development.

You will deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, and confidence across a wide range of sports and physical activities. Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Promote physical health, well-being, and teamwork through structured activities.
  • Support students in achieving success across a variety of sports and fitness disciplines.
  • Monitor and assess progress, tailoring lessons to suit individual needs.
  • Lead extracurricular sports clubs and inter-school competitions.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and participation.
  • Contribute to the wider school life through sports events and house activities.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • QTS or expected QTS by September 2025.
  • Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school (desirable, not essential).
  • A confident and engaging teaching style with strong behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for physical education and inclusive sport.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
