Principal Engineer – Telecoms & Information Systems

Context

Apply skills and experience on range of significant railway and urban transportation projects, with multiple stakeholders, to provide strategies / plans and deliver associated requirements for telecoms, SCADA and information / supervision systems. Contribute to winning new business, developing associated capability in the UK and delivering UK, Ireland and overseas projects.

Missions / Main Duties

• Provide Telecoms, SCADA, Supervision and Information systems advice and guidance for clients in ‘business as usual,’ technical refresh and new project environments.
• Apply Telecoms, SCADA, Supervision and Information systems knowledge, with creative and innovative thinking in a broad range of complex and non-routine contexts.
• Provide Telecoms, SCADA, Supervision and Information systems requirements and technical specifications for Rail Systems, Stations, and Facilities.
• Provide support to Migration Planning for new, novel, or complex Infrastuture, Rail Systems and Control Systems.
• Lead / manage bids and projects related to Telecoms, SCADA, Supervision and Information systems.
• Support business development and sales activities related to Telecoms, SCADA, Supervision and Information systems
• Help to build successful working relationships with team members, key customers and stakeholders that improves the value of the services we deliver.
• Promote and foster a systems culture within the current UK Engineering organisation
