Chef de Partie Breakfast

Overview

Are you passionate about food and able to multi-task your way through a shift? As a Demi Chef de Partie / Chef de Partie, you are a confident chef capable of running your own section in the kitchen while supporting junior team members. You will hit the ground running in a fast-paced kitchen, consistently producing top quality dishes under pressure. We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join our experienced team on a full-time basis (40 hours over five days) and willing to work as part of the team. The successful candidate will work mostly breakfast shifts with occasional coverage in the evening service.

Responsibilities

• Be predominantly responsible for the hotel's breakfast service 5 shifts a week—this includes arriving early to prepare for the start of breakfast service and managing demand for all breakfast items while ensuring no shortages or major delays during service
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government Health and Food Safety legislation including HACCP, and complete all necessary quality and safety checks
• Demonstrate the right temperament to run service in the absence of Senior Chefs, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
• Ensure all items served meet brand standards and that allergen information is readily available
• Ensure items are stored securely, replenished to minimise waste, and that kitchen equipment and the environment are hygienic and functioning properly

About The Hotel

Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the boutique hotel is restored with Beatles-inspired decor. The hotel features one restaurant, two bars, and hosts acoustic musicians on Fridays and Saturdays. It also offers 3 meeting and event suites catering for up to 180 guests with iconic Beatles photographs and modern AV equipment.

Key Information

• Salary = £26,956.80 per annum
• Shifts = 5 shifts per week, 8 hours (exclusive of breaks)
