Technical Writer (SC Cleared)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Writer with Active Security Clearance (SC) to join a fast-paced End User Computing (EUC) and Zero Trust environment.

This is an initial contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to permanent (subject to performance and business needs).

The Role

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation supporting EUC services, identity, and security platforms.

Working closely with engineering, security, and identity teams, you’ll produce :

Internal service documentation in Confluence

Customer-facing content published to SharePoint Online

SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

Clear separation and redaction between internal and external documentation

You’ll play a key role in ensuring documentation remains accurate, structured, and aligned with service changes.

Key Responsibilities

Write and maintain service documentation, SOPs, runbooks and knowledge articles

Document onboarding / offboarding processes and device lifecycle management

Capture access and authentication flows (SSO, MFA, conditional access)

Document troubleshooting and escalation paths

Establish documentation standards (templates, version control, review cycles)

Collaborate closely with SMEs and Test Service Managers

Create diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio or draw.io

Technologies You’ll Be Writing About

While deep hands-on technical expertise is not essential, the ability to understand and clearly explain technical concepts is critical. Technologies include :

Zscaler (Zero Trust access patterns)

Okta (Identity Provider)

Microsoft Entra (SSO / MFA & Conditional Access)

Omnissa Workspace ONE

Jamf Pro

Microsoft 365 (E5 security capabilities)

Windows, macOS, iOS & Android endpoints

What We’re Looking For

Essential :

Proven Technical Writing experience within IT environments (EUC, identity, security, networking or cloud)

Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics

Experience using Confluence and publishing to SharePoint Online (or similar)

Comfortable working in secure, fast-moving technical environments

Active SC Clearance (transferable)

Desirable :

Familiarity with Zero Trust principles

Knowledge of Zscaler, Okta, Microsoft Entra, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro or Microsoft 365 E5

ITIL / service management documentation experience
