Interim Head of Commercial - Infrastructure / M&E Experience Required MRICS / CIOB

Location : London (On-site)

Rate : £600-£800 / day (Outside IR35)

Contract : 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Commercial with a strong background in quantity surveying and senior-level commercial leadership on large-scale infrastructure projects . This role demands a deep understanding of complex commercial environments, ideally with prior exposure to Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) elements due to the technical nature of the works involved.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and develop a high-performing commercial / QS team

Oversee all aspects of commercial strategy, risk, and governance

Manage contract negotiation and compliance (primarily NEC forms)

Provide commercial support to work-winning and tender activities

Collaborate with finance and delivery teams on forecasting and performance reporting

Drive best practice across commercial operations and team development

Requirements :

Proven experience in a senior Commercial or Quantity Surveying leadership role

Strong background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) commercial / QS management

In-depth understanding of NEC contracts and construction law

Excellent stakeholder and client management skills

Degree qualified with professional membership (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent)

Tier 1 contractor experience highly desirable
