Job Description

Tunnels and underground structures form an increasingly critical part of modern-day infrastructure.

This infrastructure provides economic, societal and environmental benefits through the facilitation of efficient and rapid movement of people below-ground. This may be in mass transit systems, high-speed rail lines or in highway tunnels.

We are expanding our team to meet growing demands from our extensive Client base, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Current areas of demand include nuclear new build, carbon capture & storage, renewable energy (hydropower), and other low carbon engineering.

The tunnelling team is part of the Ground Engineering and Tunnelling (GE&T) Practice.

Requirements :

• Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our tunnelling capability. We want to build on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
• We are looking for bright and enthusiastic engineers from pre-chartered to chartered level. The successful applicants will have a proven technical track record.

Candidates should have :

A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent).

Introducing the Team :

Our specialist Tunnelling team works across a range of engineering disciplines and applies advanced analysis techniques, combined with practical design, operational and site experience. We provide support to Clients throughout the project life cycle, from the planning and feasibility stages through to commissioning, operation, refurbishment and upgrade of tunnel infrastructure. We are a close-knit specialist team, and we love what we do. We work hard to ensure an inclusive and mutually respectful environment which fosters collaboration and innovation. We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
