HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Pay : £18.00-£20.00 per hour

Job description :

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team. This is a night trunking position, transporting a double-deck trailer from Birchwood to Swindon working Sunday to Thursday. The start time is around 17.30 / 18.00 and the finish time is around 04.30am. This is a nice easy clean job with a great company!

Key Responsibilities :

Operate a Class 1 double-deck trailer safely and efficiently.

Complete trunk runs to Swindon, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Carry out thorough pre-trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.

Safely load and secure cargo to prevent movement or damage

Maintain accurate records, including mileage, fuel use, and delivery times.

Adhere strictly to all road traffic laws and company safety procedures.

Communicate effectively with dispatch and report any issues promptly.

Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs as required.

What Were Looking For :

Minimum 2 years experience driving Class 1 HGVs.

Good understanding of road safety legislation and best practices.

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Able to manage time effectively and meet tight delivery schedules.

Physically capable of handling loading / unloading when required.

Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.

Sunday to Thursday Nights

Sunday to Thursday start time between 17.30 pm - 18.00 pm
