Job Summary

A civil engineering company are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance the workplace safety programs. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety within the organisation. The candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry which is essential. A good understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance within the construction industry.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and development programs for employees on safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Investigate workplace incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness across the organisation.
