Solutions Architect - Defence

Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their growing team of Solution Architects & System Engineering professionals, delivering to their diverse client portfolio that covers Critical National Infrastructure, National Security, Defence and Nuclear market sectors.

The team is growing fast and they are looking for a self-starting, motivated and experienced Solution Architects with knowledge and experience in IT system design, development, testing, support and management to support them.

Reporting to the System Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple market sectors to suit your interests and career aspirations under a hybrid working arrangement. The role will see you developing solutions to satisfy explicit requirements placed by their diverse client portfolio

Skills and Experience

Experience designing, building, implementing and testing IT systems is highly desirable (Defence IT is desirable)

Experience of the end to end System Engineering lifecycle and how to apply it to the delivery of complex projects

Experience generating proposals in response to client requests, with associated timelines and Basis of Estimates

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Ability to work with and lead teams

Experience with one or more architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, UAF), modelling languages (e.g., SysML, UML) and SE tools (e.g., PTC Windchill Modeller, Sparx EA, DOORS)

Experience of working on projects delivering to the UK MoD is highly desirable, but not essential.

Ability to work flexibly across a wide variety of projects as part of a diverse team of people.

Currently hold, or be willing and able to apply and obtain, SC clearance.
