Overview
Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking a Lead Product Manager on an initial 6 month contract for a project that includes using Microsoft co-pilot
Service Location : London, Bristol or Manchester (hybrid - successful candidate must be able to travel to London for key meetings)
Who you are
- Product managing high-volume digital products in a fast-paced environment, working with multidisciplinary, agile teams, - from discovery to delivery, and continuous, data-led improvement and iteration of a mature, live product, ensuring a consistent approach to user and technical operational support - ideally using generative AI or data-driven technologies, but not essential
- Developing and improving a product's operational maturity as well as ensuring a consistent approach to user and technical operational support
- Strong communication skills that enable you to manage stakeholders, senior leaders and engage with people through a range of channels to identify a common set of needs and priorities, or to explain what you are doing and how you are doing it in clear and compelling ways
- Working in complex technology environments, considering the implications and interactions of the products you manage with other products across the value chain, to deliver an overall user outcome
- Understanding of modern technologies used in delivery of cloud-based software products - and able to explain the high level purpose and constraints of these technologies with non-technical people
- Developing and selling a product and commercial strategy to secure funding and support for the product
- Working in or with public sector organisations, including cross-organisational working and navigating spend control processes and procurement
- Hands-on delivery and iteration of products, working with multiple teams in an agile delivery setting - from discovery to continuous, data-led improvement in a live setting
- Agile IT / project experience, someone who has worked on a variety of projects with different elements rather than someone who has stayed in one lane
- mixed experience, as someone who has worked in Government before would be really beneficial.
- Can confidently engage with policy stakeholders against various different departments at various different levels from non-technical to senior stakeholders subject matter experts.
Desirable :
In particular they are focusing this role on a project that includes using Microsoft co-pilot. Familiarity with co-pilot would be useful
Exp working within central government is highly desirable, this is all about the government policy profession specifically so understanding government policy processes and design. A mix of local and central gov exp but central will be more favourable
