Aircraft Mechanical Operator – Fast Jets Salary – up to £36,500 plus package Location – Lincolnshire, RAF Coningsby Security - Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be eligible for SC clearance and hold a British passport. Copello are working with a leading Defence business who are looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Operator to support frontline military fast jets. You’ll play a key role in keeping high-performance combat aircraft mission-ready, working in a fast-paced and safety-critical environment alongside military teams. What you’ll do: • Carry out maintenance from strip-down through to installation on aircraft mechanical systems • Inspect, repair, and replace components in line with approved technical documentation • Follow planned and unplanned maintenance schedules confidently and safely • Act as a first signatory, taking responsibility for your work • Read engineering drawings and complete all required paperwork to standard Required skills: • Relevant aviation or military engineering apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds 2675/2661) • Recent experience working on Fast Jet aircraft (Desirable) • Strong understanding of Part 145 / MAOS maintenance standards • Familiarity with depth maintenance documentation...
