Location : Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB

5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.Contract : Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and close-knit team at Baston House School, part of the Options Autism family.

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting our teachers to deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of our pupils—helping to maximise their achievement, independence, and confidence. You will support teaching and learning in both individual and small group settings, lead lessons when required, and build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and interaction. You will also contribute to maintaining a strong safeguarding culture and bring a proactive, flexible approach to classroom support and behaviour management.

Has achieved Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status

Has experience working within an SEN / ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) setting

Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider education team

Is committed to empowering every pupil to reach their full potential

English and Maths GCSE (essential)

HLTA qualification (desirable)
