A lot of our success comes from deeply understanding what works on YouTube better than anyone else. We’re now hiring a research assistant to help us track high-performing content and trends across different niches, and help our YouTube strategy team turn that research into winning content ideas for our clients.
Who This Role Is For
We’re looking for someone who is obsessed with YouTube and driven to figure out what makes videos succeed. You don’t need formal experience (although great if you do), but you do need to be curious, competitive, and relentless in your pursuit of answers.
This role is for someone who :

- Has a natural curiosity — You want to know why certain videos succeed and enjoy digging deep into research to figure it out.
Responsibilities
Your job will be to support our YouTube strategists by delivering clean, actionable research insights that help us identify winning content ideas for clients.
You’ll be responsible for :
Researching YouTube videos, channels, and trends across different industriesIdentifying outlier videos that significantly outperform other content in their nicheFiltering out noisy data (videos that went viral for reasons unrelated to the content itself)Delivering reports with clear insights on what you’ve foundCollaborating with our YouTube strategists to help turn research into winning strategies and video ideasWe will train you in our specific research process, but you need to be able to execute it consistently and improve the process over time.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have :
Experience in research, data analysis, or competitive intelligence — You’ve worked in a role that required you to gather, organize, and interpret information to deliver insights.Strong written communication skills — You can clearly summarize your findings in a report that’s easy to understand and actionable.Familiarity with YouTube — You know how YouTube works and can navigate the platform with ease. You also need to be passionate / obsessed with YouTube.Proficiency with tools like Google Sheets or Excel — You’ll be organizing your research into structured reports, so you need to be comfortable with spreadsheets.Ability to meet deadlines and manage your time independently — This is a remote role, so you need to be able to deliver consistently without someone looking over your shoulder.Compensation :
