Maintenance Manager - Bournville Cadbury

CC&C Professional Corporation Chartered Accountants is hiring for the Maintenance Manager role. This role focuses on overseeing maintenance planning and execution to minimize downtime and optimize production support.

Overview

Your goal will be to ensure that site manufacturing and support activities run without interruption, with 100% compliance to local legal regulations and Quality, Health, Safety & Environment management systems and standards. You are responsible for the maintenance and management of site facilities, buildings and equipment (hardware & software).

Responsibilities

  • Own the PM standards, including technical documentation, and continuously drive improvement of the PM standards.
  • Own the Tags Management and planning process for the line, supported by Planners.
  • Own and facilitate the weekly PM and Tags planning meetings.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance planner to procure parts and support maintenance planning by updating spare parts inventory policies.
  • Own the Breakdown Elimination process for the line, including deployment, execution, reporting KPIs for meetings, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead BDAs for the Breakdown Elimination Process.
  • Build technical capability in operators (e.g., PM to AM skills transfer) and share knowledge with operators and shift technicians on maintenance and technical processes.
  • Collaborate with the Cell Leader and Process Engineer to ensure corrective maintenance tasks are effectively planned with available resources and parts, optimizing their impact on the production plan.
  • Coordinate with the Cell team and Shift Teams, including operators and shift technicians within the cell.
  • Establish strong relationships with other cell members, the Section Engineering Manager, and the Maintenance Planner; participate as part of the PM Pillar team for the site.
  • Support the development and execution of elements of the 90-day plan and weekly / monthly plans; lead problem-solving sessions and risk assessments for Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP).
  • Responsible for M&R spend for the Cell; work to reduce the frequency and duration of PM schedules through improvements or loss reduction.

Required Profile

Skills Required

  • Computer literacy
  • Effective communicator and strong team member
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant Engineering discipline (Desirable)
  • Ideally HND / HNC / Foundation degree or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience building capability in others
  • Proficient in the use of SAP (Desirable)

  • Demonstrated ability to teach / coaching basic problem-solving tools at all levels
