At Rick Stein Restaurants, we’re all about fresh seafood, simple cooking done brilliantly, and making every guest feel genuinely welcome. We’re now looking for a confident, experienced Head Bar Person to lead our bar team and ensure every guest enjoys exceptional service.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and supporting the bar team, ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly service
• Preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, including wines, cocktails, beers, and soft drinks
• Creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere at the bar for every guest
• Training and coaching bar staff in drinks knowledge, upselling, and guest engagement
• Managing bar stock, ordering, and deliveries to maintain a well-organised bar
• Sharing knowledge of our drink’s menu, wines, and daily specials with the team and guests
• Taking and processing orders accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
• Collaborating with the restaurant and kitchen teams to maintain smooth service flow

What we’re looking for

• Previous bar experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of drinks, wines, and cocktails, with the ability to train others
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional service
• A friendly, positive attitude and genuine love of hospitality
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
• Great attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Reliable, team-focused, and proactive approach
