About the Role
We are seeking caring, patient, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary and secondary schools in Rotherham.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help children overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social and emotional needs).
- Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and help maintain an inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with personal care and additional needs where required.
- Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and school safeguarding policies.
Requirements
Experience working with children with SEN (school, nursery, or care setting).A positive, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.What We Offer
