Care Worker Job Description
- Pay rate £12.21 per hour plus mileage
- Contracts up to 39 hrs per week
- 28 days leave per year
- Alternate weekends required
- 5 days over a 7-day period, with varying shift patterns as agreed with the manager
Responsibilities include :
Providing care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies, procedures, and standards under the guidance of the Senior Carer / NurseSupporting and enabling service users to maintain skills and personal interests while delivering person-centred care tailored to each individualMaintaining current skills and undertaking necessary training and development to enhance knowledge and practiceEnsuring service users are at the centre of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences to promote wellbeingContributing to the efficient running of the serviceSupporting service users in maintaining relationships with the local communityFollowing care plans and other relevant information to support service usersReporting any changes in the needs of service users to the Senior Carer / NurseDeveloping effective working relationships with colleaguesCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for service usersPrevious experience is ideal but not essential, as training including shadowing and double-ups will be provided.
