Shrewsbury | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours

Are you an Accounts Assistant with experience in an accountancy practice, looking for a stable role where you can genuinely develop your skills and build a long term future?

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and management accounts
• Bookkeeping and processing financial records for a range of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring deadlines are met
• Supporting compliance work and maintaining accurate financial records
• Liaising with clients and colleagues to deliver work accurately and on time
• Working closely with Managers and Directors on ad hoc projects
• Supporting junior team members when required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant within an accountancy practice (essential)
• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation
• Well organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple deadlines
• A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• Ambitious and keen to build a long-term career in accountancy
