Accounting Assistant

Our client, a well-established organisation in the finance and business services sector, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their supportive finance team. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations, while receiving structured training and mentorship to build your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with data entry.
Work closely with accountants to produce financial reports and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Proactive and professional approach with a willingness to learn.
